I love Morning at Market Street sessions, especially for little ones!  The color and light is so beautiful and we have the entire place to ourselves!  I was overjoyed to get to work with Sloan again…I saw her for 6 month pics and loved getting to do her 1st Birthday session with her!  Her expressions and personality are a magnet to my camera and I just have to warn you….I have lots of pictures to share…because deciding on just a few was too hard!

This family jumped in with one of my last available spots for 2016, and didn’t let it bother them that my only opening was the very next day after they inquired.  I’ve never seen anyone throw together outfits as quickly and so well as this momma.  They were dressed to a T, and ready to go all before 8am…not easy to do with two little ones 2 and under!

Well there were just too many good ones from this morning session, so I’m sharing quite a few with you!!  I know I say it all the time, but I love getting to see my “newborns” grow up!  This little guy is almost ready to celebrate his first birthday and I love any chance I get to photograph him and his family.  Look at those baby blues!!

One of the best things about being a newborn photographer and a family photographer is I get to see my little ones grow up!  They change so much in that first year!!  I loved getting to catch up with Henry and his family.  We had already rescheduled due to weather one time and then those crazy Memorial Day storms happened and threatened to cancel again….but we ended up with gorgeous sunlight and a perfect morning session

A few months ago the house next door to us went up for sale and only half joking I sent the link to a bunch of people saying, “Who wants to be our neighbor?!”

And then the most unbelievably awesome thing happened…..this amazing family moved in next door to us!  It’s been so incredible having great friends so close.

And it’ gets better…..they are about to add a little more blue to their house ….cannot wait to meet thei sweet boy in January.

My favorite images of my own kids are the ones that capture their little personalities…the expressions, giggles, looks, and smiles that you see when their guard is down.  As a photographer, I want to be able to capture those same real moments for my clients.

I would say for the most part families who come to me are looking for the same thing.  They don’t want forced, perfect poses, they want life as they know it, real smiles, laughter, and LOVE captured.

The best way families can help me do this is really pretty simple.

Have fun.  Don’t stress. Play with your kids. Love on your family.

Pretend you’re at home in your living room instead of on location for a photo shoot.

And when you do that, you get these wonderful moments to remember and look back on forever.
