Romero / The Woodlands Spring TX Natural Maternity Photographer

I don’t know if I’ve ever had to reschedule a session due to weather more times than we did this one.

I usually try and shoot maternity sessions between 33 and 35 weeks in order to show off those beautiful bumps but allowing mom to still feel comfortable.  We scheduled this session originally to take place when Iza was 32/33 weeks along.  We ended up finally doing the session when she was 38 weeks because we had to reschedule it what for felt like a bajillion times.  February was quite dreary around here…and rainy….and COLD.   I don’t mind doing a session when it’s cloudy (although I do LOVE me some sunshine peeking through!) But I draw the line when it’s rainy, blanket grey, and there is no green to be seen because everything is brown and dead.

We knew we only had one more shot at getting this session done before this little guy arrives any day now.  Last Friday the clouds opened up and I finally saw that bright thing up in the sky that seemed like a long lost friend!  How great it was to finally see the sun again!  We shot at a new location to me (which I always love), and it worked out nicely for the family because it just happened to be in their neighborhood.  You know I wasn’t going to make this 38 week trooper of a mom go too far!

I’m going to go ahead and say that I never looked this good pregnant when I was 20 weeks along, let alone 38!  This momma just radiates beauty.  I know she is so excited to welcome this little boy and I cannot wait for our Fresh 48 session whenever he decides to join us!
